Situated in the heart of a residential community in the historic city of York, Amarna House is an 80 bedded care home offering a range of care including Dementia, Nursing and Residential care.
Meet the team
At HC-One our experienced Home Managers and members of staff ensure kindness is at the heart of everything we do.
We understand that meals are a very important part of our Residents’ day, our menus cover a variety of choices for each meal and a choice of snacks, fresh fruit and refreshments are also available 24 hours a day.
Family and friends join Residents for meals which are served in one of our dining rooms or, if our Residents wish, they can choose to eat in the privacy of their own rooms.
We also enjoy hosting themed meals and catering for special occasions such as birthdays and anniversaries.
Hobbies and interests
Our Activities Co-ordinators provide a weekly activities calendar of popular pastimes which is displayed in the home, this includes:
• Regular visits to St Paul’s church for tea and cake
• Gentle exercise
• Gardening club
• Animal visits
• Seasonal events
Outdoor areas
Residents often enjoy relaxing within the large garden and attractive rose garden at Amarna House.
Garden enthusiasts have access to the greenhouse and they regularly enjoy tending the raised flowerbeds and vegetable garden.
