ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - HIMLEY MILL NURSING HOME
Himley Mill is a purpose-built home, set in the semi-rural village of Himley. It is just seven miles from Wolverhampton, and is on a local bus route.
The care we offer
Himley Mill offers a high standard of care. We provide nursing, nursing dementia care, and care for the young physically disabled. Our specialism is care for people with Parkinson’s and Huntington’s diseases, and for those with neurological conditions, spinal injuries, or for those who have suffered a stroke. Convalescence, palliative care and respite are also provided. Only registered nurses and highly trained care assistants are employed to provide the excellent 24-hour care and dedication required.
Key features of Himley Mill
A warm, friendly atmosphere is immediately evident at Himley Mill. It’s a bright and spacious home, specifically designed and equipped to provide a comfortable environment for its residents, whatever their age. It consists of three separate houses, each providing specialist care, and with its own range of facilities.
Bedrooms
Our single bedrooms all have attractive décor and comfortable furnishings, with safety features such as smoke detectors and 24-hour call systems. Many rooms have delightful garden views. Each house has its own well furnished lounge where residents relax, socialise, watch television or entertain visitors. There is also a quiet lounge and a separate activities room.
Garden
Himley Mill’s residents really appreciate the large, landscaped gardens and pretty patio – especially on sunny days when they like to sit out there and socialise. The gardens are easily accessible from all houses and residents can join any outdoor activities or help with a little light gardening, if they wish. Himley Mill also hosts an annual summer fete and a dog show, which again take place in the glorious grounds.
