The Laurels Nursing Home provides care for older people with age-related mental illnesses and for people with physical disabilities. The Laurels has a friendly, caring and supportive environment and we deliver personalised care plans based on people’s choices, needs and wishes. Our staff provide the highest standard of care in a home-from-home environment where we focus on improving the health and wellbeing of every individual we support.
At The Laurels we provide a structured care programme in a warm, homely environment. We offer a range of therapeutic and leisure activities and support people to enrich their lives and maintain their independence.
Leisure and social activities are an important part of living at The Laurels. People are encouraged to take part in stimulating and engaging activities designed to boost their confidence and increase their independence. Activities include trips to the zoo, pub lunches, visiting the beach and visiting shops. We also have a yearly fete and parties to mark significant festivals throughout the year such as Easer, Bonfire Night and Christmas celebrations.
Meal times are an important part of the day at The Laurels. Our experienced catering staff prepare a varied menu of wholesome home cooked food every day and we cater for individual likes and dislikes from a cultural, religious or choice perspective.
