ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - ASHTON HOUSE NURSING HOME
Ashton House is an old country house set in beautiful grounds, one mile from the centre of Haywards Heath. The town has a direct rail service to London and Brighton and has a range of shops and parks. Main house is the original building and there are two newer built wings. The service provides personal and nursing care for up to 91 older people, who have physical care needs or needs related to dementia. Accommodation is provided over three floors, with lifts providing access between floors.
Our philosophy of care is to provide residents with a secure,relaxed and homely environment in which their care, wellbeing and comfort are of prime importance.
Prior to moving into the home a detailed pre assessment is carried out to ensure that we can meet peoples health, physical, social and emotional needs. We encourage residents and relatives to be involved in care planning and regular reviews.
We have an established and well trained staff team and provide all staff with ongoing training to ensure they are up to date with care practice.
Our experienced catering team provide a varied and balanced diet and are able to meet special dietary needs.
We have a team of activity staf who provide group and individual activities and arrange for entertainers to visit the home on a regular basis.
We retain the services of a GP who visits regularly and is able to respond promptly to residents request for a visit.
