What you are doing is an extraordinary excellent job
When 'M' came to Bridge House, she was in a very bad place, both physically and mentally. However, during her time with you she miraculously came back to life again. I know she still had many health problems, but she was cared for and happy and got back some of her incredible joy for life and I felt so relieved to know that she was safe and someone was looking after her. Lots of the old 'M' came back. I enjoyed many visits and telephone chats with her. As soon as I entered her room at Bridge House, I knew that all was well - her birthday cards were all around her room, her old teddy was in her arms and she was peaceful. I don't know who put her lipstick and nail varnish on, but it was inspirational. Instead of an old sick lady, there was the beautiful 'M' we all knew and loved. Thank you all so much for making her time with you so happy. I expect you will say you were only doing your job; I can only say what you are doing is an extraordinary excellent job. Again, my grateful thanks to all of you who cared for her so kindly and gave her the quality of life she deserved.

Superb residential and nursing support
I wanted very much to write to thank everyone at Bridge House for giving my beloved father such a happy three years living as part of the Bridge House 'family'. From the moment he decided that he wanted to move to Bridge House, his life was enhanced by his key decision. The loneliness he had sometimes felt living independently was replaced by a sense of belonging, the superb residential and nursing support he benefited from, and the wonderful range of activities on offer to residents. It is apparent to anyone walking into Bridge House that it is maintained beautifully and provides an extremely comfortable environment for all the residents. What is less obvious is the exceptional caring nature of the team, which my father emphasised to me so often. My brother and I have reflected on many aspects of our father's life - and we certainly feel that his time at Bridge House represented an extremely happy period for him. We cannot thank you all enough for your contribution to his 'life story' and hope that many other residents will benefit from your kindness and high standards for many years to come.

Consistently kind, patient, thoughtful and loving
Our warmest and most sincere thanks for the consistently kind, patient, thoughtful and loving care you gave to Mum. It will never, ever be forgotten. Knowing you were overseeing Mum's care brought us much peace of mind as possible in such circumstances to our family.

Dedicated staff, high standard of care
Further to our conversation last week I would like to place on record my true appreciation for the dedication of the staff on duty on the ground floor over the Christmas period. In addition to Ember and you know my heart felt respect for her (yes I know I am biased !!! ) I would especially like to mention and record my thanks to Nana, Anita and Wioletta. They were on duty throughout the Christmas period and undertook shifts to cover the unexpected sickness of care staff due to be working. They did this without a thought of themselves and solely for the benefit of the residents they care for. The small acts of kindness they provided to R's personal care, to make his trips out pleasurable was just so kind of them and so very much appreciated. They really showed such a high standard of care during what was a long Christmas cover period. I personally could not thank them enough and as I mention last week verbally I just wanted their first class care recognised by all concerned.

Wonderful care, amazing team
Thank you for all the wonderful care that the amazing staff give to all the residents at Bridge House. The cheerfulness and kindness are qualities that make Bridge House so special. I know that it takes a lot of hard work to make everything run so smoothly and I just needed to say thank you for all that has been done for my relative. It is wonderful to see him laugh again.

A home from home
I would like to say a big thank you to everyone at Bridge House for all the help and loving care shown towards my husband. Also from myself and family, our heartfelt thanks particularly for providing sleeping accommodation at the home so we would keep close to him. I would like to add that during all the times I spent at Bridge House, it was like a home from home for me.

Caring and compassionate
I would like to say thank you to all the staff for the kindness, care and compassion shown to friends, family and most of all my late Aunt. They all do such a great job and all too often it can go unrecognised. Without places like Bridge House and the dedicated and caring staff who work there many would live their final days in a very uncertain way.

Exemplary care
Although our mother was only at Bridge House for a short time, the care she received was exemplary and we appreciate all that was done for her in this lovely home. All the staff we met during our visits were so friendly and welcoming that we felt like part of the family. Thank you all once again for making Mum's last few months comfortable and dignified.

Fantastic care, respect and kindness
Words cannot express our gratitude for the fantastic care, respect and kindness that the whole care home gave to my Nan and the whole family. We are extremely grateful she got to spend her last few weeks at Bridge House.

Facilities, outings and functions
I would like to express my appreciation of everything done for my Mum during her time at Bridge House. Mum appreciated the facilities at Bridge House, in particular the outings and functions, it made her life more interesting. She built up a good relationship with many of the staff. Towards the end of her life, Mum was made very comfortable. It was always a great relief to know that support was available 24/7 and she appreciated the kindness of the staff.

Treated Mum with love, dignity and respect
Thank you for looking after Mum for the last year, you made her very happy. You treated her with love, dignity and respect. Also for being such great friends to me and making me feel at ease, welcome and comfortable when visiting Mum. I admire you all so much for the work that you do as at times it is not easy. Mum was not a resident and we were not visitors, we were part of a family.

A heartfelt thank you
A heartfelt thank you to all the staff at Bridge House for the care of Mum. All members of the team have contributed to making Mum happy and enjoying life at Bridge House, from the front desk, bistro, exercises and entertainment, cleaning and catering, gardening and of course the care team itself. Everyone plays such an important role in making the whole operation work.

My husband has been a resident at Bridge House for nearly four months. He has settled in well. All the staff, from management, activity, reception to nurses and carers, have treated him with kindness and sensitivity. The food is excellent and he enjoys his meals. The manager is always available for discussion on any subject relevant to his care, as his wife and speaking for his other visitors we are always made welcome and made to feel at home. Having had difficulty making the decision that he needed full time care, I now know it was the correct decision and he is in the correct place.

Very pleased we came upon Bridge House. Father has settled very well. Run to a high standard with a family feel to the place. The care is excellent, a lot of nice food. So pleased a friend told us about the Bridge and cannot be more complimentary about the home.

There is such a wonderful, warm, homely and friendly atmosphere as soon as you walk into the home. The staff all have smiles on their faces and are extremely freindly and helpful. The facilities are welcoming and very well set out and decorated with a great variety of things for the residents and their families to do. It is very evident that everyone cares greatly about the environment and the care that the residents receive and that is the most important thing that a relative can ask for. Bridge House feels welcoming, warm, homely, happy and safe!

My dad has had 2 respites with your home before I decided on full time care after a fall. I looked at other places but decided on Bridge House Care Home, I have always been delighted with the company set up. From the man on the reception, the driver, all staff are great.

My husband has parkinson's and alzheimer's and has been here for 2 and a half years. The home is bright, clean and welcoming. It has a spa, gym, cinema and mini-bus facility, whose staff (especially bistro) are amazingly helpful. The manageress is very approachable (always) and takes on board any comments we have to make. Her understanding and compassion make her an ideal manageress, I think. The care is good (most important of all!) as is the food. My one concern is fluid intake. My husband cannot ask for drinks, nor indicate that he is thirsty. Giving him drinks is time-consuming and I'm not sure that it happens, apart from meal times, when he is fed.

I have found the staff at Bridge House from the Management to front of house to be really friendly, patient and caring to both me and my friend. From the welcome we received when my friend first moved to Bridge House to the instance when the Manager sat with me to help me fully understand the nuances of my friend's dementia, how this could manifest itself and the strategies they would use to manage her care. They always have time to allay any concerns we might have as we deal with the progression of the condition. The attitudes of the staff reflect the ethos of the home with everyone prepared to go the extra mile whether they work in the bistro, as chauffeurs, in housekeeping or personal care. The home is modern, clean, airy and really welcoming. Activities are varied and inclusive. The home is adjacent to the river and park which provides not only a nice outlook but also plentiful options for walks despite its town centre location.

Reception pleasant. Films good. Staff sometimes slow to respond to bell in rooms. Staff generally always helpful and lovely with residents. Building always warm. Shower near gym most inadequate and one in spa not always available. Gym well equipped.

My mother has been a resident since April 2015 and when it is sadly time for our relative to be placed in a home it is a very difficult time. You wish for a place where they will be well looked after, but also a place where you are comfortable and as ease as a visitor. Well at Bridge House as soon as you enter you are welcomed by very friendly staff for whom nothing is too much trouble. It is like walking into a 5 star hotel, very clean, open and light. As my mother has dementia she is on a secure floor, but again nothing is too much trouble. She is well looked after, really cared for, the staff always use Christian names and always have time to chat. There is a lovely bistro to go to, gym, hairdressers and beauty salon where residents are pampered. The home is immaculate and cleanliness is again 5 star, I am already contemplating my place.

Bridge house is a fairly new care home so the very pleasant decor is still in good condition and kept clean and attractive. Public and private rooms are nice, but dedicated car parking is limited. Management and staff are pleasant to deal with, but communication between them doesn't seem to be as good as it should be. There is quite a high turnover of staff which affects my mother in that she feels she loses people who have got to know her. Staff are busy, now that Bridge House is fully occupied. So my mother feels they are rushed and seldom have time to chat to her. Her main issue is the food, which varies in quality and often arrives late and cold. Overall we feel Bridge house is good, but expensive, and doesn't give full value for money.

Deciding that a care home is needed for mum was a very difficult choice. We visited several in the area. Bridge House made the choice easy. The love, support and care was the best we could hope for. At all times they listened to our comments and did their best to accommodate. Christmas was so lovely. We have fond memories of the last few weeks of mum's life. She was treated with dignity and care.

Mum has been a resident at Bridge House for 6 and a half months. She has advanced dementia. Care and consideration for mum has been excellent. We could not ask for more. All staff and management are very friendly and will help in any way possible. Lots of activities take place daily. All food is freshly prepared and of excellent quality. Support for families is also excellent. We really are happy with all aspects of Bridge House. A really lucky find for us all.

My mother looked at Bridge House in December. She was warmly welcomed and liked the room and facilities. She settled in very quickly on arrival in January, she has enjoyed a range of activities and benefited from the care provided on a daily basis. We were to happy with Bridge House that when my father-in-law needed to go into a care home we were happy he could also become a resident. He enjoys different pursuits which are also provided to cater for the differing interests of individuals.

My friend has an excellent room (better than she expected). Medical care has been very good checking on minor problems and following up with the surgery. Staff are helpful and often have time for a chat with my friend - having a variety of "work" visitors for different tasks is a subtle way of checking that all is well without being intrusive. Meals are good plenty of food served and varied which she enjoys and has been tempted to try new things. She says she feels "comfortable and safe" at Bridge House. Friends coming to visit have been impressed by the facilities and comment that she looks very much better, more relaxed than previously.

Coming to Bridge House has given me a new lease of life! I was nervous about it to start with but I'm so glad now that I've made the move. Bridge House provides the companionship I lacked and offers so much more than I expected. There is so much laid on for the residents. There's a wonderful bistro, health club and spa, a cinema, a gym - which I use everyday - a library, a bar, organised outings and lots and lots more. With all the home comforts that Bridge House offers, it really is the wonderful staff who make all the difference. So warm and friendly and made me feel comfortable and at "home" within a matter of days.

We have been very pleased with all aspects of our mothers care. We have noted improvements in the system during the past four months. The staff are caring and excellent, senior management also very good, but my experienced observations note poor middle management. The premises are laid out in an imaginative and inspirational design. All of the staff treat us as friends, Although mother is reluctant to join in community events she is not neglected with staff regularly calling into her room or residents lounge for a chat. Behaviour patterns are noted and we are advised. Mother is comfortable, well cared for and settled. We are aware of adverse reports but have seen nothing but very good care for our mother.
