ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - GREENFIELDS CARE HOME
Opened in Autumn 2010, Greenfields was purpose built by Coverage Care to provide both residential and nursing care and has single room accommodation for 75 adults, split into four units; we cater for service users with dementia and mental health needs and for service users with general nursing needs. Greenfields is situated close to Whitchurch Town Centre and there are good local transport networks.
All bedrooms have en-suite shower facilities, and all are fully furnished. residents are also able to bring their favourite possessions within the limitations of the space.
Located in the north Shropshire town of Whitchurch, made famous by the composer Sir Edward German, who gazed across the green fields of Whitchurch to gather inspiration for his music.
The beautiful reception area opens up into a courtyard garden that offers an open space to enjoy during warm weather and a tranquil area to entertain visitors and guests.
The Activities Coordinator has a varied and interesting programme tailor-made to suit the needs of the service users. Entertainment groups also visit the Home.
The Catering Manager can cater for all special diets as the food is freshly cooked in the Homes' kitchens.
The grounds provide safe, attractive and accessible areas for all our service users, comprising of patio areas, raised flowerbeds, seating areas in attractive enclosed spaces.
Greenfields has adopted the butterfly approach for people with dementia which uses everyday tasks to stimulate the mind, this technique can improve mobility, help with sleep patterns and can help with the reduction of medication
