ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - 60 LANGLEY ROAD
At 60 Langley Road we provide care and support to five individuals with a learning disability, mental health needs and behavioural support needs. We have a proven track record of supporting people whose behaviour may be perceived as challenging.
The service is located on the outskirts of Slough with good public transport links to the town centre, London, Heathrow, Reading, Windsor and Maidenhead.
In Slough there are a wide range of leisure and education facilities available as well as plenty of restaurants and shops.
The people who live here lead active lives accessing local community based activities and activity centres. Individual support plans are carefully tailored to ensure everyone has choice and independence. The people living here hold meetings once a month where different things are discussed. Each person is supported to plan and book a holiday each year either within the UK or abroad.
The support we offer is person centred to help each person to reach their maximum potential and lead a fulfilling life. The high level of staffing at 60 Langley Road enables everyone to become actively involved in the day to day running of the service, building daily living skills, as well as providing plenty of opportunities to use the service vehicle to get out and about in the local area.
The staff team have many years’ experience and are very knowledgeable about how best to support people that live in the service. The majority of the team have work here for several years.
The service has five bedrooms and a number of communal rooms, including a cosy lounge, where people can relax or take part in the varied activities offered within the home, and a kitchen/dining room, where we encourage individuals to help to prepare meals and snacks.
All areas of the service are furnished to a high standard, creating a friendly and inviting environment. There is a large garden area which has equipment for outdoor games and activities and a barbecue.
