ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - 35/37 SOLNA ROAD
35 – 37 Solna Road specialises in providing support for people who have learning and physical disabilities and additional complex needs such as autism, epilepsy or mental health needs.
Each person is fully involved in the design and implementation of their unique support plans, which are tailored to meet their individual needs, goals and aspirations. The service works to ensure close links with the community, enabling everyone to access opportunities for education and leisure pursuits. Currently the service has a number of visiting therapists, such as drama and aromatherapy. There are also regular sessions in art and craft, music and movement. The sessions reflect the choices of the people currently living at 35 – 37 Solna Road but can be adapted to reflect changing or different needs.
The service consists of two houses in a quiet residential street in Winchmore Hill near to Enfield and central London. It is easily accessed by public transport and close to numerous community facilities and shops.
There is a large, mature and enclosed back garden with a patio area. There are five ground floor bedrooms, a stair lift and staircase to the first floor. The communal areas and gardens are fully accessible to those with additional mobility needs.
