ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - 96 TOMLINSON AVENUE (RESPITE SERVICES)
Luton Borough Council provides a building based Respite Unit at Tomlinson Avenue for adults with learning disabilities to provide their family carer with a break from their caring role. Customers are referred to the service following an assessment from the Council’s Community Learning Disability Team. As part of the assessment process, the individual and family carer is provided with an agreed allocation of respite over the year which can be used flexibly to meet the needs of the family. Care and support needs are reviewed annually.
The respite service meets an individuals personal care needs but also offers opportunities for social interaction and activities within the unit and in the community .The Respite Unit is registered for the regulated activity of personal care with CQC.
