ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - GLENSIDE

Glenside's main site is located in South Newton, a few miles from Salisbury, Wiltshire. Glenside Salisbury offers both neuro-rehabilitation and neuro-behavioural services.  Patients come for care and treatment for physical and cognitive impairments resulting from neurological conditions or traumatic brain injury.

Glenside offers support for patients within its two main neuro-rehabilitation and neuro-behavioural pathways.

Patient admission and discharge is possible at any stage of the service user journey. Our dedicated Glenside multi-disciplinary team works with families and carers to develop an individual care pathway for each person. This process starts with an extensive assessment of need, taking into account the views and inputs of the service users and those who are most important to that person. 

The Neuro-Rehabilitation pathway is offered at both Glenside Salisbury and Glenside Farnborough.

For many patients the rehabilitation journey begins in the Hospital NRU unit for assessment and the diagnosis of long-term neurological conditions, including traumatic brain injury and post-traumatic amnesia. Patients then transfer to other wards depending on their rehabilitation needs.

The neuro-behavioural pathway is specifically designed to help those with challenging behaviour as a result of a neurological condition to help them develop socially acceptable behaviour strategies through a variety of activities and positive behavioural support.
