ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - MILLPORT CARE CENTRE
The Millport Care Centre offers high quality care to people aged 16 and over who suffer from physical disabilities, learning disabilities or autistic spectrum disorder. Care and support is also available for those with challenging behaviour and autism.
Also operating from this site is Embrace Housing Support and Care at Home. They provide both a short break holiday service and specialist care and support. Their services are open for adults with learning disabilities and older adults, either in their own home or in holiday accommodation on the island.
Our staff are dynamic and enthusiastic and include qualified nurses, a qualified behavioural therapist and social care staff. Senior staff are experienced in delivering their high standard of care for this complex client group. Care staff are trained to a high standard and supported to develop skills and gain qualifications in supporting the needs of individuals. They deliver a robust level of care and are capable of practising the Therapeutic Management of Aggressive and Violent Behaviour which enables them to care for adults with extreme challenging behaviour.
Our staff aim to both support people in maintaining involvement and participation in the local community and encourage them to participate in a wide range of activities.
