ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - NEW OUTLOOK - WOODVILLE ROAD
Woodville is a registered care home for five people that offers high quality care and support for adults with sensory impairments, physical disabilities, learning difficulties and complex needs.
This traditional, large semi-detached house is set in an established residential area about a mile from Bearwood Village and half a mile from Harborne Village. It has access to good bus routes and residents have easy access to a full range of facilities, most of which are adapted to support people with sight loss, and services within the local community.
The home has five single bedrooms and its aim is to be a service in the heart of the community allowing its clients to live in a warm homely environment. Residents have access to their own space whilst always having the choice to mix and socialise with others in the home and the local community.
The accommodation provides ground and first floor facilities, all accessible to people who have impaired mobility via a platform lift. The home environment is warm and welcoming with bright, modern decorations to reflect the tastes and wishes of the people who live there. Tactile signage and materials with contrasts have been used to support people with sensory impairments.
The spacious lounge leads into a dining area which in turn opens out to a large private rear garden which is fully accessible. People moving into this service are encouraged to bring their own personal possessions or furnishings and contribute to the décor and furnishings of communal areas.
