Woodend is situated in beautiful grounds in a residential area of Altrincham, a small market town in Cheshire. The home is regarded as ‘excellent’ by the Care Quality Commission, the highest rating awarded by the independent regulator of health and social care in England.
The care we offer This attractive, purpose-built home welcomes older residents who require nursing care. The home also offers residential care, short stay, palliative care, convalescence and care for those with Parkinson’s disease. Woodend has recently extended its care to those with dementia. We employ dedicated, well trained staff to provide 24-hour care and support in a professional and respectful way.
Key features of Woodend Woodend has an impressive mock Tudor frontage and sits within large landscaped gardens. On sunny afternoons residents can enjoy relaxing in the garden or on the patio. They can also take a walk along many of the meandering paths, all of which are fully wheelchair accessible. There is also a sensory garden that has an abundance of colour and attracts many small birds. The gardens have raised flower beds and residents with an interest in gardening are welcome to help maintain them if they wish. Other features include a greenhouse and small water fountains.
Bedrooms Our bedrooms are all attractively decorated and furnished to a high standard with ensuite facilities, and some have delightful garden views. Each has a 24-hour call system, under floor heating, a smoke detector, a remote controlled flat screen television and a telephone point. Profiling beds help residents’ mobility and aid independence.
