ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - WINGHAM COURT CARE CENTRE
Set in four acres of beautiful grounds, Wingham Court is situated in a pleasant leafy suburb of Claygate in Surrey. It is easily accessible with Esher about a mile away, has shops within walking distance, and is linked to main bus and train routes.
This elegant two storey building welcomes older residents who require long-term nursing care and short stay care including palliative care, convalescence and respite. The home also provides care for young physically disabled people.
Specialist support is offered for those with learning disabilities, who have experienced a brain injury or for those who have challenging behaviour. Rehabilitation services are also available, as is care for those with Parkinson’s disease. We employ dedicated, highly trained specialist staff to provide 24-hour care and support in a professional and respectful way. The home also has visiting speech and language therapists to help some of its residents with any communication difficulties.
Bedrooms
Each bedroom is tastefully decorated to a high standard with individual colour schemes and elegant furnishings. All are ensuite, with views over the delightful grounds, television points and safety features such as smoke detectors and 24-hour call systems. We encourage residents to make their rooms even more homely by bringing in personal items such as favourite pictures, ornaments and small items of furniture.
Room to relax
Residents can choose to spend time in any of our spacious lounges, which overlook the large landscaped gardens. There is a dedicated quiet room to enjoy with a good book or for time spent simply relaxing. The gardens can be enjoyed by all, with raised flower beds and wheelchair accessible paths. There is also a delightful sensory garden to explore. The grounds also allow for a variety of activities with an outdoor chessboard and offer club facilities of a bowling green and tennis court.
