ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - WILLOW BROOK NURSING AND RESIDENTIAL HOME
Willow Brook is situated in the pleasant residential area of Carlton, a leafy suburb close to Nottingham, and is built on the site of the old Ritz cinema. The home is within walking distance of local shops and on a bus route into the city centre, which is about seven miles away.
Willow Brook provides nursing, residential care, convalescence, palliative care and respite. Our standards are second to none, and we employ registered nurses and highly trained care assistants to provide 24-hour professional support.
Food
Meals are an important and enjoyable part of the day at Willow Brook, and our chef creates a wide range of balanced and nutritious dishes. All our menus are nutritionally checked, and our chef caters for all tastes and diets, visiting each resident soon after they arrive to discuss their preferences and any special requirements they may have.
Guests are very welcome at mealtimes and we make sure occasions, such as birthdays, are celebrated with a special meal and delicious home-made cake.
Activities
At Willow Brook we ensure there’s always something enjoyable to do – from bingo and manicures to movement to music sessions and film afternoons. There’s something different every day, and plenty of opportunity to pursue personal interests and hobbies. The home hosts several popular clubs including cookery, painting and reading clubs.
We regularly have visiting entertainers who treat residents to musical performances and we often go on outings, perhaps to the bowls centre, on a boat trip or to have lunch at a pub or café. Friends and relatives are more than welcome to participate in our activities if they wish. In addition, a hairdresser works regularly in our on-site salon and a mobile library also calls to the home.
