Wentworth Croft is situated in a pleasant residential area of Bretton, with a local bus route providing a regular service to Peterborough.The home has four houses, two offering nursing care, one for dementia care, and one providing residential care.
The care we offer
This modern, purpose-built, single storey home has been designed and equipped specifically to provide nursing and residential care, convalescence and respite. Wentworth Croft has a dedicated house for specialist nursing and residential dementia care. Our standards of care are second to none, and we employ highly trained registered nurses and care assistants who provide 24-hour professional support.
Food and drink
All our menus are nutritionally balanced and our chef caters for all tastes and diets, visiting each resident soon after they arrive to discuss their preferences and any special requirements they may have.
Residents can choose to eat in one of our five traditional dining rooms, which look out onto the gardens, or in the privacy of their own bedroom if they prefer. We also serve delicious home-made cakes, biscuits and fruit with mid-morning and afternoon tea and coffee. Friends and relatives are most welcome to join residents for meals should they wish to.
Activities
Our dedicated activity co-ordinator ensures there’s always something enjoyable to do, from arts and crafts, dominoes and cooking, to ladies afternoons and exercise classes. We are frequently visited by local entertainers including live bands and the ‘Pets as Therapy’ dogs. Our on-site hairdressing salon is open three days a week and we have a mobile library service that calls to the home regularly.
Our home has two designated activity rooms which host our popular karaoke system – great for social gatherings and celebrations. We also have a sensory room where residents can take part in reminiscence groups. Activities don’t just take place in the home.
