ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - WELLS COURT

Wells Court is set high in the town of Salcombe along a tree lined road and is close to a local shop and church and has stunning views over the estuary and surrounding rolling landscape. Salcombe has long since been a favourite hideaway for holidays and retirement for many people and is famous of course as a splendid sailing area; this means that there is always plenty to see on the water, and in the town.

The house is furnished to a high standard and is very light and airy. There are two lounges that are the hub of the home where you always hear laughter and chat. The main lounge has a beautiful stone fireplace as the focal point and many chairs and seating for your comfort, this room sits at the front of the house and is sunny and light. The smaller lounge has patio doors that lead out onto a small and safe patio area, this room is for those times when you want to just sit and read and enjoy the peace and quiet. The home has 24 single bedrooms with most being en-suite. A lot of the bedrooms are very large, beautifully furnished and have stunning views of the estuary and countryside, some are fortunate to have level patio areas.

The home enjoys a charming patio area at the front of the house and many a happy day is spent here watching the world go about its business, many locals and holiday makers stop to chat on their way down to the shops and as the town of Salcombe is small there is a real community spirit that enables the home to have a good rapport with the local residents, Doctors and its many groups. The local playgroup and primary school are a welcome joy to our residents when they visit to sing or perform their many plays. The residents enjoy a varied activity routine that is organised by the cheerful staff and this can include; trips out on the mini bus to the local towns, musical entertainment, afternoon tea at the over 60’s club, quizzes and much more.
