ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - VALLEY WAY RESPITE SERVICE
Valley Way Respite Centre is a respite care service for people with learning disabilities. There is space for six people to stay at any one time. People stay at the service for a variety of days per year depending on a local authority assessment of need. People using the service are mainly London Borough of Barnet residents but the service is also provided for people from the London Boroughs of Enfield and Brent. The service is provided in a modern, three storey, purpose built building with passenger lift. The ground and first floors are available for people using the service and are fully accessible for people who may have physical disabilities. The provider started a new outreach service based at Valley Way during the summer of 2013. Staff assist people to take up activities in the community at weekends.
