ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - TREMBATHS (MHA)
The opening of Trembaths in 1989, together with Westbury in Newport Pagnell, launched MHA into a new era of care. By offering full nursing care in Letchworth, the organisation was setting out to meet the requirements of an increasing number of older people with advancing physical and mental care needs.
In 2003, dementia specialist care was introduced. Through “awareness days”, the home has shared its knowledge with relatives and the public, explaining the effects of dementia and how special care can improve the quality of life.
As one resident says, “I have lived here for twelve years and there is nowhere I would rather be. I think the staff are a tremendous team and the care and love shown according to our special needs is truly amazing.”

Let us know if it’s music, a favourite newspaper, exercise or a spot of pampering at the salon. Landscaped gardens invite you to appreciate the fresh air, or tend the plants, if you wish. There’s a wide range of social events, so you never need to feel bored or lonely.
Meal times are a special part of the day for you to savour tasty food, freshly cooked by our chef to suit you and any dietary needs. And, of course refreshments are available throughout the day for you and your visitors, who are welcome at any time.
