ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - THREE SISTERS
At Three Sisters we provide specialist support to 17 individuals with a wide range of disabilities including autistic spectrum disorders and Asperger’s Syndrome whom may display behaviours which challenge. We can support people aged from 18 to 65.
Three Sisters is a large converted hotel on the outskirts of the picturesque village of Haworth, which is surrounded by beautiful countryside. The service is located on the top of the hill side overlooking Haworth’s Moorland and Bronte country. We are a short walk from local shops and tourist attractions and encourage the people we support to make full use of the resources available in the area and become part of the local community.
We recognise the importance of relationships with family and friends and welcome visits at any reasonable time.
The large support team all receive specialist training and support in order to maximise the potential of those living in the service, while focusing on keeping them safe and free from harm. The staff team are dedicated to helping each person reach their full potential and work alongside a number of professionals to ensure each person is supported in a person centred way.
Three Sisters has ten large bedrooms each with en-suite facilities and seven large self-contained apartments, all of which can be decorated and adapted to meet individuals’ requirements. We have a number of communal areas, including two lounges, a games room, access to the Discovery Centre class room and IT suite, a kitchen and large dining room. This provides ample space for activities within the service, both as a group and individually.
There is an abundance of space outside with around 15 acres of farm land, a lake, decking area, polytunnel, allotment and patio area.
The service is situated in the pretty town of Haworth, right in the heart of Bronte Country. Within within easy reach are local amenities such as a swimming pool, open parks, cinema, and sports centres which people are encouraged to make full use of.
