ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - MARCHFIELD HOUSE
Marchfield House Care Home was acquired by Southey Care Ltd in 2012. It was formerly known as Thornfield Care Home. The home provides services for people with dementia. The home has 17 single bedrooms 16 of which have ensuite facilities. Bedrooms are located on two floors, with upstairs rooms being accessed via a stair lift. At the time of our inspection the home was undergoing interior and exterior renovations, these were due for completion in November 2013. The renovations will provide 5 further en-suite bedrooms and separate lounge and dining areas. The home was also landscaping the gardens to make them accessible.
