ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - THE SPECIALIST HEALTH TEAM FOR PEOPLE WITH LEARNING DISABILITIES
The London Borough of Sutton's clinical health team for people with learning disabilities is multi-disciplinary. The team comprises of community nurses, speech and language therapists, challenging behaviour specialists, clinical psychologists, and physio, occupational drama and music therapists. This specialist team of health and social care professionals provides support and advice to people with learning disabilities in all matters related to their health and wellbeing, as well as their families and carers. The service also facilitates access to doctors, dentists and other mainstream health services, as well as providing training on issues related to supporting people with learning disabilities.
