ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - THE PARKLANDS CARE HOME
The Parklands Care Home offers residential care for the elderly to suit their individual needs. We provide 24 hour care on a permanent or respite basis. We have a dedicated team of staff who thrive on delivering excellent standards of person centred care. The Parklands Care Home is situated in the town of Thorne near Doncaster within easy reach of shops and other amenities, public transport and the M18 motorway. The Parklands is situated overlooking a park with a fantastic view. The Parklands is a carefully converted home, providing residential and social care in a selection of different rooms. The Parklands is registered as a 40 bed establishment delivering residential and early onset dementia care, with most of the rooms having en-suites.
We have a dedicated Personnel Activities Coordinator who ensures that all residents receive a stimulating and a varied range of activities to suit their individual needs. The Motivation Team visit once a month for gentle exercises. The varied activities programme also includes gardening, bingo, crafts, arts and social outings at least once a month during the Summer. We also like to party at Parklands by celebrating the seasons which may include Mothers Day, Halloween and BBQs. Catering at Parklands is of a high standard and we offer nutrionally balanced and special diets which are carefully prepared by our chef who has previously been runner up in the Four Seasons Health Care Chef of the Year competition.
