ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - THE ORCHARDS
The Orchards is a well-appointed modern residential home for four adults with learning disabilities on Threebridges Road in Crawley and has excellent nearby public transport links.
This home is just a short walk from Crawley College which offers an excellent range of courses in their independent learning disability premises, used by some of the people who live in this home.
The Orchards has a large kitchen and lounge area, offering lovely social areas. There is also a large enclosed garden.
The people supported at The Orchards are all in their twenties and thirties and have a range of needs including autism and Down’s Syndrome. They are supported by a skilled and well trained staff team.
The individuals living at The Orchards are also supported to obtain voluntary work placements within the town of Crawley, arranged through the home’s excellent local connections. The local Outreach centre is also regularly used, further expanding their social networks and community involvement.
Access to a wide range of activities, education and learning on all levels is promoted and the people living at The Orchards enjoy active lifestyles including recreational activities both in and out of the home; they are supported to enjoy life to the full, developing their social and independent living skills.
