ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - THE MANOR HOUSE NURSING HOME
This beautiful Grade II listed stone house is situated at the northern end of the Wirral peninsula, just off the M53. The home has a three star 'excellent' rating from the Care Quality Commission, the independent regulator of health and social care in England.
The care we offer Originally an old school, The Manor House has been elegantly converted. It now offers the ideal environment for providing high quality nursing and residential care for older residents. The home also provides specialist residential dementia care as well as convalescence, palliative care, Parkinson's disease care and respite. We employ dedicated, well trained staff to provide 24-hour care and support in a professional and respectful way.
Manager information Christine Varty has been home manager at The Manor House Nursing Home since 1997. Christine began working for Bupa Care Homes in 1987, as a night sister. She was promoted to deputy manager in 1990. Christine treats all residents and their families as individuals. This was recognised when she was awarded the prestigious Bupa Customer Care award for her hard work and dedication.
Food Meals are an important and enjoyable part of the day at The Manor House. We offer a wide range of tasty dishes on our daily menu, made using fresh ingredients. We also offer light snacks at any time of day. All our menus are nutritionally balanced and our chef caters for all tastes and diets. We visit each resident soon after they arrive to discuss their preferences and any special requirements they may have. Our menus also celebrate traditional days and events throughout the year, from Pancake Day to Mother’s Day and Christmas – and of course residents’ birthdays.
