Tell me about The Green...Located near the centre of Redruth, The Green is a unique and very special home. Accommodating clients with dementia and other mental health needs, our team at The Green has been developed to specialise in this area. With high, vaulted ceilings and a proper old fashioned shop, The Green is a welcoming and friendly home. Comfortable and relaxing, there is a real sense of calm within the building. Externally, the home has an enclosed courtyard with raised flower beds and a fish pond. This area provides a centre for parties and entertainment as well as offering peace and tranquillity on quieter days.
Tell me about the care...The care we offer at The Green is specialised. Our staff are qualified and experienced in dealing specifically with dementia and other mental health issues. Our team are patient, dedicated and relaxed. Working with families, friends and relations, we aim to really get to know those living with us. We feel that this enhances our relationships and positively contributes to the atmosphere within the home.
What opportunities are there? We believe that the people who live with us should be able to continue to do the things they enjoy for as long as they want to. As a result, every week day we offer activities such as baking, card making, painting and gardening. Our beautiful garden is full of hanging baskets, pots and colourful raised flower beds during the summer months, all created by our very talented clients!
