ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - THE FIRS CARE HOME WITH NURSING
At The Firs, we aim to provide a friendly and caring atmosphere.Our staff will support residents in making decision on how they want to live their life. We recognise the importance of maintaining relationship with family and friends and we support recipients in pursuing hobbies and interests by offering a variety of activities.Staff at The Firs are trained to a high standard and have recently been awarded the Bronze Standard in the Dignity Challenge Campaign. The home was also a finalist in the Great East Midlands Care Awards 2012.
The Firs has an Extra Care Unit devoted to the care of those with dementia. Our specialist unit provides a safe and secure environment with only twelve residents, allowing the very best care to be delivered by staff. We have the same staff in the unit to ensure our residents always see a familiar face.
