ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - THE ELMS CARE HOME
The Elms is a care home with nursing that offers a service for up to 80 older people, the home consists of three units: Woodlands provides accommodation and services, on the first floor of the main building for up to 28 older people who have long term conditions and require nursing care, many with complex needs.
Larchwood, provides accommodation and services, on the ground floor of the main building for up to 24 older people who suffer with dementia.
Oakwood provides accommodation and services for up to 28 older people, who suffer with dementia and who require nursing care.
The units offer space to explore; a non -judgemental approach; providing each individual with a program of care. We have a focus on retention of individual skills and interests. The units boast large enclosed safe gardens, activity areas, and a compassionate and supportive approach to the difficulties faced by each resident and their family.
We aim to aid the promotion of independence; focusing on positives; retaining individual skills and interests. Offering support with decision-making encouraging each individual, to be involved in their care.
