The care we offer
The Donnington offers nursing care, convalescence, care for those with Parkinson’s disease, palliative care and respite. We employ only well trained registered nurses and care assistants to provide professional 24-hour care and support.
Food
Shortly after every resident arrives at The Donnington, we will discuss their food needs and preferences in detail. Our experienced chef will then cater for them, producing appetising meals, freshly prepared, nutritionally balanced, and cooked using fresh ingredients.
A tasty, varied and seasonal menu is provided each day, with a choice of hot and cold meals always available. Residents can choose to eat in the sociable atmosphere of the dining room, or in the privacy of their own room, whichever they prefer.
Activities
It is important that our residents have stimulating and interesting things to do. Taking into account residents’ tastes and levels of mobility, our activity co-ordinator organises activities that might include art classes, musical recitals or some gentle gardening. Residents have plenty of opportunity to pursue existing hobbies and interests, or to discover new ones. We organise a monthly themed event around seasonal occasions such as Mother’s Day or Halloween, which are always enjoyed by residents. Friends and family are most welcome to join in the various events and activities held at the home.
