ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - THE CREST RESIDENTIAL HOME

The Crest Residential Home is pleasantly situated in a quiet and leafy part of the historic spa town of Harrogate. It is conveniently close to the town centre and the famous Valley Gardens.

The care we offer

The Crest offers the standards of care that you would expect from a Bupa home. We provide residential dementia care, convalescence, palliative care and respite. We employ well trained care assistants to provide professional 24-hour care and support.

Food and drink

Shortly after every resident arrives at The Crest, their dietary needs and preferences are discussed in detail. Our experienced chef then caters for their individual requirements. Every meal is freshly prepared, checked for nutritional value, and cooked using fresh ingredients. Appetising, varied and seasonal menus are offered each day, with a choice of hot or cold choices always available. Residents can choose to eat in the traditional dining room with other residents, or in the privacy of their own bedroom, if preferred.

Activities

At The Crest, it’s easy to make new friends and find new things to do each day. Our activity co-ordinator organises daily past-times to suit all interests and levels of ability. These may take place on an individual or group basis and include crafts, reminiscence sessions, word games, bingo, and movement to music. Gardening is popular, and residents can plant and tend their own special plot in the garden if they wish.

Gardens

The garden is enclosed with trellis fencing and has a pretty patio where residents can sit on sunny days. There is a sensory garden, a herb garden, shrubs and flowers and a relaxing water feature. Garden games such as hoop-la, bowls and skittles are played on a special paved area on warmer days.
