ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - THE CHESTNUTS NURSING AND DEMENTIA CARE HOME
Chestnuts Nursing and Dementia Care Home is a gracious old house which has been extensively refurbished and altered to usher it into the 21st century. The home is located in close proximity to Wanstead Town Centre and the local green offering numerous local shops, banks, pubs, restaurants and other amenities. Wanstead tube station is within a short walking distance and there is a bus stop right outside the home.
It is owned by Westgate Healthcare, a family run Award Winning business (see article below), who have over 20 years of experience in successfully providing the care and support that their residents require.
The home is registered to care for up to 51 service users in need of nursing or nursing dementia care and offers :

The home offers care for both private users and those who are referred by social services.
Our main aim is to provide person centred care by giving every resident the freedom to continue their daily lives with dignity, independence, privacy and the widest possible personal choice.
Our experienced and qualified staff ensure that the care provided is entirely tailored to the needs and desires of our residents.
The home is arranged over three floors. There are 51 bedrooms with en-suite facilities, with comfortable colour co-ordinated furnishings, nurse call, television point, telephone point, bedside light and vanity units.
Residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms by bringing their own belongings and appropriate items of furniture.
Residents enjoy a good choice of appetising and wholesome food personally served by our skilled and friendly chefs.There are regular deliveries of fresh produce and residents with impaired communication are offered a picture book to help them make their choices. Special diets can be catered for.
