The Burnham is an established home providing care for both older and younger residents. It is situated in the picturesque Somerset seaside resort of Burnham-on-Sea, nine miles from Bridgwater.
The care we offer The Burnham offers an excellent standard of individualised care to residents with very different needs. We provide nursing, convalescence, palliative care and respite as well as day care services. Our staff consists of dedicated, registered nurses and highly trained care assistants, who provide professional 24-hour care and support in a friendly, respectful manner.
Key features of The Burnham Originally a church and a convent, The Burnham has been carefully converted to create a pleasant, well equipped home for its residents. Many original features have been retained, including the church’s arched and leaded windows. This is now a thoroughly modernised home, offering a warm and welcoming environment.
A safe and comfortable home life The spacious bedrooms are all ensuite, with attractive décor and comfortable, good quality furnishings. Safety features, including smoke detectors and 24-hour call systems, are installed in every room. Residents have a choice of five lounges where they can relax, chat, watch television, listen to music or entertain guests. The Burnham has separate rooms for activities and reminiscence therapy, as well as five spacious, sociable dining areas.
