ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - THE BRANKSOME CARE HOME

Set in the old spa town of Buxton in the glorious peak district, “The Branksome” is situated close to all the local amenities; a Tudor style house set in its own gardens it can accommodate 34 residents requiring both residential and nursing care. All residents have their own room some with en-suite facilities, and are able to meet and socialise in one of the three large lounges, each with its own charming character with many of the original features such as large chandeliers and impressive fireplaces. However, Service Users who choose to stay in their own rooms may do so, unless specified in the individual care plans.

The staff will endeavour to create a warm, atmosphere with the focus being on “home life” the emphasis being to create an environment that all our clients find comfortable and relaxed.  The Branksome has just completed a major refurbishment under the FSHC repositioning project, our Activities Organizer who helps in meeting the social care needs of our residents, shopping trips and day trips to the vast Derbyshire countryside scenery are organised with our own minibus that has been adapted to take wheelchairs. A team of caterers plan the daily menus with the emphasis being on individual choice.

There is always a trained nurse on duty, 24 hours a day, with an appropriate number of care staff to assist. The home’s staffing is selected for their qualities of reliability, integrity, skill, friendliness and professionalism. They are carefully screened and CRB checks and references are always checked thoroughly.

The Branksome Care Home is now managed by Four Seasons Health Care, who is the largest group in the UK predominantly devoted to care of the elderly. The Branksome Care Home along with Four Seasons Health Care is committed to providing the highest possible standards of care.
