ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - THE BORRINS RESIDENTIAL HOME
The Borrins is an established home in a quiet residential area of Baildon, near Shipley. It sits within beautiful landscaped and wooded grounds, and is conveniently close to the village centre and its amenities.
The care we offer
The standards of care, cleanliness and facilities at The Borrins are second to none, as you’d expect from a Bupa home. We provide residential care, convalescence, palliative care and respite. We employ well-trained care assistants, who provide professional 24-hour care and support in a respectful way.
Food
Shortly after every resident’s arrival at The Borrins we will discuss all of their food needs and preferences in detail. Our chef will then cater for their individual requirements. Appetising meals are freshly prepared, nutritionally balanced and cooked every day, using fresh ingredients.
A tasty, varied and seasonal daily menu is provided, with a choice of hot or cold meal available. Residents can enjoy sociable mealtimes in one of our two dining rooms, or in the privacy of their own room, if they prefer.
Activities
Residents have very different interests and levels of mobility, and our activity co-ordinator takes this into account when organising a range of things to do. Activities include Scrabble, chess and domino games, carpet bowls, quoits and gardening. We help and encourage residents to pursue existing hobbies as well as discovering new ones if they wish.
Singers, tango dancers, and local amateur dramatic groups perform at the home, much to residents' enjoyment. We organise outings to local museums, the Harrogate Flower Show, Harlow Carr Gardens, and to the local shopping centre.
