ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - SUMMERVILLE NURSING CENTRE
Summerville is a well-equipped nursing home located in a quiet residential area on the outskirts of Stockton Heath. It is surrounded by beautiful grounds and is conveniently close to shops and local amenities.
Summerville has gained a strong reputation for excellent care in the surrounding community and holds the Gold Standards Framework award for end of life care.
The care we offer
We provide nursing care, convalescent care and respite. Our staff consists of registered nurses and well-trained care assistants, who provide the residents with excellent 24-hour care and support in a respectful, professional manner.
Food
Shortly after each resident arrives at Summerville, we discuss their food needs and preferences in detail. We will then cater for all of their individual requirements. Appetising meals are prepared daily, are nutritionally balanced and cooked using fresh ingredients. Every day, a tasty, varied and seasonal menu is presented, with a choice of hot or cold meals always available. Residents can choose to eat with other residents in the homely, sociable dining room, or quietly their own bedroom if they prefer.
Activities
Residents have different interests and levels of mobility, and this is always considered when activities are arranged. There’s always something interesting to do, including quizzes and film screenings, use of the computer, arts and crafts, and gentle gardening. Local entertainers often visit the home to perform, and hairdressing is available once a week.
Residents can participate in regular outings to Walton Gardens, for a canal boat ride, or to visit Parr Hall to see a dance show, and friends and family are always most welcome to join us. We also organise a series of themed, monthly events that might include Pancake Day and Bonfire Night to name just a few.
