ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - STEPPING STONES

Broadoak:

Broadoak is the main site for Stepping Stones and is made up of 7 different accommodations, all catering for different client needs.

Cedar Falls:  The largest house on the main site, which provides en suite accommodation for up to seven people who have a moderate Learning Disability and exhibit behaviours that may challenge.  The communal areas are spacious, consisting of a large lounge, dining room and kitchen.  Externally there is a large patio and garden.  The purpose of this setting is to enable clients to become as independent as possible.

Elm Lake:  Adjoins Cedar Falls and can accommodate up to five people with Mild to Moderate Learning Disabilities.  The bedrooms are all en suite, and there is a spacious lounge, dining room and kitchen.  Similarly to Cedar Falls, the emphasis is on enabling clients to become as Independent as possible.

Pine Brook:  Can accommodate up to five people with moderate to profound learning disabilities, with an emphasis on promoting communication skills and sensory skills.

Poplars View: Can accommodate up to five people who suffer moderate to profound Learning Disabilities and the emphasis here is on a high level of personal care.  Three of the bedrooms have wet rooms attached and there is ground floor accommodation for clients with a physical disability.

Rose Lawn:  Can accommodate up to three people who have both a learning and physical disability. The home is adapted with specialist equipment to aid with the bathing and mobility of the client.

Willow Green:  Can accommodate up to three people.  The house is adapted to cater for special mobility needs, whilst providing a homely and stimulating environment for all three clients.
