ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - STAMFORD NURSING CENTRE
Stamford Nursing Centre is a purpose-built home in north London, less than two miles from Edmonton Green. It is accessible either by public transport or car.
The care we offer Stamford offers nursing care, nursing dementia care, convalescence, palliative care and respite. We also provide care for young, physically disabled adults and for those with challenging behaviour. Only registered nurses and highly trained care assistants are employed, who provide professional 24-hour care and support in a respectful way.
Food Shortly after every resident’s arrival at the home, their diet and food preferences are discussed in detail. Our skilled chef will then cater for all individual requirements. A delicious seasonal menu is provided each day, with a choice of hot or cold alternatives always available. Every meal is home-made, nutritionally balanced and cooked with fresh ingredients. Residents can take their meals with other residents in the dining rooms, or eat in their own bedroom, if they prefer.
Activities Activities are an important part of daily life at Stamford. Our dedicated activity co-ordinator ensures that there is always something enjoyable for every resident to do. Individual interests and abilities are taken into account when arranging activities. These might include games, reminiscence sessions, a trip to the park, or lively entertainment courtesy of visiting entertainers. Friends and family are always most welcome to join in with any events or trip. They can even just pop in and join us for a slice of delicious home-made cake with afternoon tea.
