ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - ST MARY'S NURSING HOME
Situated in the village of Linthorpe, this purpose-built home has the advantage of being just a mile from Middlesbrough town centre, and conveniently only minutes from shops and the open rolling countryside.
The care we offer
St Mary’s offers the excellent quality of care that you’d expect from a Bupa home. We provide nursing care, nursing dementia care and convalescence, as well as palliative care and respite. We employ only dedicated registered nurses and well-trained care assistants to provide residents with 24-hour care in a professional and respectful way.
Food
Shortly after each resident’s arrival at St Mary’s, their dietary requirements are discussed. Our experienced chef will then cater for their individual requirements and dietary needs. Appetising meals are freshly prepared, nutritionally checked and cooked with fresh ingredients.
In order to meet the needs of our dementia residents, we provide meals when they are needed and we have a Night Bite menu so that residents can eat between 6.30pm and 6.30am if they need to.
Residents can enjoy sociable mealtimes in the traditional dining rooms, or choose to eat in the privacy of their own room, if they prefer.
Activities
At St Mary’s, the dedicated activity co-ordinator ensures that there‘s always something enjoyable for everyone to do each day. Our residents’ varied interests and levels of ability are taken into account. Activities may take place on an individual or group basis, and they form an important part of life at the home. The home hosts several popular residents’ clubs including painting and gardening.
A special themed event takes place every month; these might include a garden party or fête, Burns Night, Mother’s Day or a Bonfire Night celebration. Friends and family are always most welcome to come along and join in.
