ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - ST MARK'S NURSING CENTRE
St Mark's is a modern, purpose-built nursing centre for elderly residents in a quiet residential area of Maidenhead in the Royal Borough of Windsor.
The care we offer
St Mark's Nursing Centre is divided into four 'houses', each offering different levels of care and support.
Ascot and Eton provide elderly nursing care
Windsor specialises in dementia with nursing care
Henley provides rehabilitation services on behalf of the PCT
Care can be for short or long stays and can include daily nursing, respite, convalescence and post–operative care. Highly trained staff provide the professional, personalised care you would expect from Bupa in a clean, well-equipped environment.
Food
Residents can choose to eat in one of four comfortable dining rooms that overlook the gardens, or if they prefer, in the privacy of their bedroom. All menus are nutritionally checked and prepared daily using fresh ingredients, including those from the home's very own herb garden.
Each resident is visited by the chef soon after they arrive to discuss preferences and any special requirements. There is a Night Bite menu for late night snacks if required. Biscuits with mid-morning hot drinks, and delicious homemade cake is served with afternoon tea each day. Wine and sherry are also offered regularly to those residents who enjoy a tipple.
Activities
Activities provide physical and mental stimulation and give structure to a resident’s day. The activity co-ordinator at St Marks' organises activities that include arts and crafts, bingo, musical afternoons and physical activities. Residents here enjoy taking part daily tasks, such as helping to tidy up, laying the tables, or delivering the morning newspapers.
