ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - ST JAMES' PARK NURSING HOME
This impressive 19th Century house in the tranquil village of Bradpole overlooking beautiful Dorset countryside has been tastefully converted to meet the needs of elderly residents. The home boasts Bupa's outstanding standards of care, cleanliness and facilities and has been awarded an ‘Excellent’, three star rating from the Care Quality Commission inspectorate.
The care we offer
Several types of care are available at St James Park, depending on the level of support required, from long term nursing care and care for those with physical disabilities, to respite, convalescence and post-operative care.
Food
Residents can choose to eat in the home’s dining room overlooking the gardens or in the privacy of their own rooms if they prefer. Appetising, seasonal dishes are prepared daily with hot and cold choices available. Personal preferences are assessed shortly after arrival and reviewed regularly thereafter.
Menus are always clearly displayed and feedback is always welcome so that we can continue to improve our food service. Our chef caters for all special diets and fresh water is delivered to residents’ rooms every day. We make sure that on their birthdays each resident receives a celebratory meal and a personalised, home-made cake to make their day extra special.
Activities
The home's dedicated activities co-ordinator ensures that all activities reflect the preferences and interests of the residents. Regular sessions include bingo, crosswords, arts and crafts and reminiscence sessions.
