ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - ST ANTHONY'S COURT
St. Anthony’s Court provides residential and nursing care for older people. We provide a homely atmosphere and we strive to make the experience a comfortable, fulfilling and enriching one for everyone who stays with us.
We enable people to maintain lifestyles that are as similar as possible to those enjoyed at home. We encourage regular interaction with the local community, including contact with friends, family and local groups. We encourage friends and family to be involved through regular visits and participation at special activities, events and open days.
At St. Anthony’s Court we believe that leisure and social activities form a central part of people’s happiness, health and wellbeing. We offer a supportive and therapeutic living environment for older people. We assess the needs, goals and wishes of each person who stays with us and provide a comprehensive service to meet a wide range of requirements.
We have our own visiting hairdresser and aromatherapists, manicurists, chiropodists, physiotherapists, opticians and other professionals visit regularly. Religious services are available in the home for those who wish to participate.
Our activities co-ordinator organises a wide variety of activities including tai chi, music therapy and exercise therapy. We also hold lots of events such as an annual summer fete and a Christmas carol service.
Meal times are an important part of the day. Our experienced catering staff prepare a menu of home cooked food every day and we cater for individual likes and dislikes from a cultural, religious or choice perspective. People can choose to have their meals either in their room, the lounge, or in the dining room.
