ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - ST ANNE'S COMMUNITY SERVICES - LINDLEY COTTAGE
Lindley Cottage is a 5 bedded property located in Huddersfield offering a service for adults who have a learning disability. It is in Lindley which is near Huddersfield and is ten minutes walk from Huddersfield Royal Infirmary. We are a nursing service who offer nursing care. The home offers support to adults who can challenge services and who have complex needs.
The manager has achieved the registered managers qualification and is a qualified Health and Social Care Assessor. The deputy has achieved a degree in nursing studies and 4 other nurses are in post at diploma level and 4 of the 7 support staff have achieved NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care award, with another staff member working towards this. Staff support clients with daily living tasks, social and leisure interests, maintenance of health and personal care as required. There are support plans and guidelines which assist in giving of the best care.
All clients are consulted on their support needs and wishes via the person centred planning and review process. Clients are encouraged to make decisions in all aspects of their lives, including activities, holidays, clothes, menu planning, decoration and choice of furniture within the home etc. Clients also access day services of their choice within the local community. Staff also support clients to use community facilities such as shops, libraries, sport centres, pubs and clubs etc
