ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - ST ANNE'S COMMUNITY SERVICES - JENKIN LODGE
Jenkin Lodge is a care home registered by St Anne's Community Services to provide accommodation for up to five people. The home consists of a detached, purpose built bungalow situated on a busy road on the outskirts of the village of Ingleton, in the Yorkshire Dales.
We support people to maintain their independence by providing excellent staffing 24 hours a day throughout the year. Jenkin Lodge staff team uses person centred approaches to enable the people living in the house to maximise their independence, increase control over their lives, maintain their health and become part of their community. The support team ensures that Jenkin Lodge continues to be a pleasant comfortable home which seeks to meet the physical , emotional and spiritual needs of each person living in the house.
Clients are empowered to make as many choices as possible with as much or as little support as is necessary. This support may involve family, friends, advocates and other professionals. Clients at Jenkin Lodge are supported to maintain their cultural values and develop spiritually by whatever means is relevant to them.
There are many activities that individuals currently choose to take advantage of some of which are; local walks, cinemas, adult education, eating out, enjoying holidays, personal shopping, day trips, pubs and much, much more. There is a vehicle which clients can choose to contribute towards if they wish which allows access to both the local and wider community
