ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - ST ANNE'S COMMUNITY SERVICES - CHERRY TREE DISPERSED
Cherry Tree Dispersed scheme consists of two residential 4 bedded homes named Orchard View and Cherry Tree. These are situated in a small market town of Wetherby within a short distance from each other.
Orchard View offers service for 4 adults who have a learning disability. The client age ranges from 50 to 80 years. The property is on three different levels but has a lift available to enable the access for clients with physical difficulties. There is also one bedroom with a tracking hoist available to support clients with complex needs.
Cherry Tree offers service for 4 adults who have learning disability. The client age ranges from 45 to 70 years. The property is on two different levels and is accessed via a staircase. There is one ground floor bedroom which has shower facilities. The main bathroom is on the first floor and can only be accessed via stairs.
The manager has achieved Chartered Management Institute Level 5 Diploma in Management and Leadership. The deputy project manager has NVQ Level 3 qualification. The staff team consists of 11 support workers. One member of staff holds Level 4 diploma in mental health and social care qualification and 7 members of staff have NVQ 2 qualification.
Staff support clients with daily living tasks, social and leisure interests, maintenance of health and personal care as required.
All clients are consulted on their support needs and wishes via the person centred planning and review process. Clients are encouraged to make decisions in all aspects of their lives, including activities, holidays, clothes, menu planning, decoration and choice of furniture within the
home etc. Clients also access day services of their choice within the local community, which include local authority provision and voluntary/ charitable organisations. Staff also support clients to use community facilities such as shops, libraries, community centres, pubs and clubs etc. Clients families are invited and their input welcomed.
