ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - ST ANNE'S - BARNSLEY SUPPORTED LIVING SERVICE
Barnsley Supported Living Service is a domiciliary care agency and is managed and owned by St Anne's Community Services. The agency is registered with CQC to provide personal care. This support is provided to people, who may have a learning disability and wish to maintain their independence and live in their own home. The service covers the Barnsley area and surrounding districts.
We aim to provide a good quality care environment to enable indivduals to be as independent as possible as well as providing appropriately trained and skilled staff
We endevour to offer a warm welcoming atmosphere, and will, where possible, provide each individual with as much independence as they would like.
The service promotes Dignity, Independence, Choice and Inclusion for all.
Assessments of individuals’ needs are continually evaluated to ensure the effectiveness of agreed approaches whilst accessing the service.
We offer a wide range of activities including cooking, arts and crafts and sensory sessions to name but a few, but our main aim is to provide support at level appropriate to each individual. All indivduals are consulted on their support needs and wishes via the person centred planning and review process.
Individuals are encouraged to make decisions in all aspects of their lives, including activities, holidays, clothes, menu planning, decoration and choice of furniture within thehome etc. Staff also support clients to use community facilities such as shops, libraries, sport centres, pubs and clubs etc.
