The grounds of Springfield House Care Home are mature and residents can enjoy the fresh air in one of our delightful sitting areas, also there is an enclosed patio garden with seating.  The home has a very welcoming and homely atmosphere and has a comfortable lounge with a modern flat screen television.  All the bedrooms are single rooms and most have en-suite facilities.  Every room can be personalised to each resident's preference and we encourage residents to bring in personal items to make them feel at home.  We have an inviting dining room where our chef provides excellent home cooked food and nutritionally balanced menus that are carefully prepared to ensure the best combination of nutrition and flavour for our residents.  The residents and families are consulted on their likes and dislikes and we cater for all dietry requirements. We encourage residents to follow hobbies and interests; however there is no pressure and each person is treated as an individual. Family and friends are welcome to visit at any time. Residents lead the activity progeamme, which is devised after discussion and completion of life historyand is updated regularly to reflect residents' current wishes.We enjoy a full and varied entertainment programme including arts and crafts, quizzes and trips out to local places of interest. At Springfield House Care Home we have an excellent working relationship with partners from local GP practices . We very much recognise the importance of personal, individual and resident focused care. To achieve this, good communication between all members of the care team, be they nurses, carers, relatives or doctors, is essential.
