ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - SOMERSET CARE - CALWAY HOUSE
Calway House is registered to provide for up to 83 people. The home is organised into five units that enable people with different needs to be cared for. Laurel and Cedar units have 37 beds for people requiring nursing care. Maple and Spruce offer residential care. Sycamore has 15 beds for people living with a dementia who require a secure environment with access to a purpose designed garden.
We have created specially designed PETALS wings providing environments that support the person-centred approach to care.
Although each of our specially designed wings has its own identity and individual name, they all share the corporate dementia care philosophy and name 'Petals'. The name represents the key elements of dementia care within the company, namely: Person-centred; Empowerment; Trust; Activities; Life History; Stimulation.
