ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - SKILLS FOR LIVING

We have been providing services in Leicestershire for the past 17 years.  We support individuals with learning disabilities, physical disabilities and those with mental health needs including dementia and Asperger’s syndrome.

We provide Supported Living, Domiciliary support, Short Breaks and Holidays, Community Life Choices, Education, training and volunteering opportunities, as well as Residential Homes. We also have an emergency and crisis facility for when an individual requires a place of safety to live short term.

We provide support from 1 hour per week up to 24/7 for individuals who have complex needs, in particular those with challenging behaviour .

Our aim is to provide the best possible care, which ensures optimum health and well-being to all those we support. We do this by ensuring the individual is at the heart of all support planning producing comprehensive person centred plans, health action plans, communication passports and risk assessments.

All plans are reviewed on a monthly basis to ensure individuals are receiving the correct support, and that they are achieving their aims, dreams and ambitions.

We have an excellent reputation with all professionals and have always been fully compliant with CQC.

We are part of the Leicestershire and Leicester City frameworks.  We are also Approved Providers for Continuing Health Care Leicestershire Leicester and Rutland.

We have vetted, highly skilled, qualified and trained staff, who provide excellent standards of care and support.  

We invest heavily into training staff to ensure they provide the highest quality care possible.

We have 24 hour trained on call teams to respond to emergencies, and to support staff out of hours.
