ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - RUSHYFIELD CARE CENTRE

Rushyfields provides dementia, nursing and residential care for adults in a caring, friendly and comfortable environment. We provide care that is of the highest standard and is tailored to meet each individual’s needs, wishes and choices.


We enable people to maintain lifestyles that are as similar as possible to those enjoyed at home. We encourage regular interaction with the local community, including contact with friends, family and local groups. We encourage friends and family to be involved through regular visits and participation at special activities, events and open days.


Our activities co-ordinator ensures a wide range of activities are always available including games, arts and crafts and monthly themed activity nights.


The Beamish Museum provides reminiscence boxes containing objects from the past to remind residents of times gone by, which people thoroughly enjoy exploring. Speakers and entertainers visit the home on a regular basis and we support residents to pursue any activities or hobbies they had prior to coming to Rushyfields.


We have our own in-house hairdressing salon and chiropodists, physiotherapists, opticians and other professionals visit regularly.


Meal times are an important part of the day. Our experienced catering staff prepare a menu of home-cooked food each day, catering for individual likes and dislikes from a cultural, religious or choice perspective. Room service is also available.
