Fosse Bank House is a residential home without nursing in Blackburn, Lancashire. We provide a 24hr residential service for up to 6 deaf, deafblind and hard of hearing men and women aged 18-65. People who use the service have a wide range of needs including physical and learning disabilities and mental ill health.

We asked some of the people we support and their friends and family what they like and admire about us. They said we are friendly and welcoming, professional, caring, work well as a team and are animal friendly – just ask Carrie the cat!
This is what CQC said about us at our most recent inspection:
People told us they were encouraged to be as independent as possible and set goals to improve their lifestyles.
We looked at two plans of care. These were very detailed and had been developed and agreed with people who used the service. Plans of care were very personalised to each individual and told staff the level of support each person needed to be supported, yet remain as independent as possible. Both the plans we looked at contained goals people needed to achieve to live a more fulfilling life. This included maintaining their own flats, independent travel, shopping and cooking and for personal care such as washing and ironing.
